Fused Deposition Modeling

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is a solid-based rapid prototyping process that extrudes ABS plastic material, layer by layer, to build a 3D model. The build material is added to the FDM machine in a filament form contained in a cartridge. The FDM machine feeds the material from the cartridge up to a head that heats and melts the material. The head traverses in an X and Y direction and extrudes material onto a platform to create a two-dimensional cross section of the model. The material quickly solidifies, and the build platform drops where the next layer is extruded upon the first. This process continues until the 3D model is complete. Fused deposition modeling allows the operator to create high strength prototypes that are functional hands-on prototypes. This FDM process builds durable and functional prototypes that can withstand rigorous testing and won't warp, shrink, or absorb moisture; [...]

Stereo Lithography

Stereo Lithography We offer the fastest, most cost-effective, short run injection molding services available in the world. From start to finish we can ship most projects in 30 days or less. Our unique system, proprietary technology platform and a team of expert engineers and mold makers allow us to turn your 3D CAD model into a fully functional prototype or production part using real engineered grade resins, more consistently and affordably than any other rapid injection molding company. It starts with our Advanced Mold Making System. We have developed software to significantly increase the speed of the mold building process. We can reduce a typical mold build time of 6-12 weeks to just a few days. Once the mold is created in a matter of days, it goes through our Proprietary Process Engine; the driving force behind our injection molding process. It carefully analyzes and guides our technicians to ensure [...]

Selective Laser Sintering

Selective Laser Sintering Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a layer additive production process that creates three dimensional objects using a CO2 laser to melt, or sinter, and fuse selective powder molecules based on information supplied by a computer aided design (CAD) file. The powder material that is fused during the selective laser sintering (SLS) process is commonly called thermoplastic material or, in some cases, thermoplastic binders for use in metals. The selective laser sintering (SLS) technology allows for these materials to be fused together in tiny layers ranging between .003" and .006". This allows selective laser sintering (SLS) to create parts with accurate details and tolerances comparable to stereolithography (SLA). However, selective laser sintering (SLS) has an added benefit in that the strength and durability of the parts it creates is much better. Additionally, the selective laser sintering (SLS) process makes parts that have longer stability than stereolithography (SLA) and [...]
